How do I
know what it is before I make an appointment?
You can describe it to us on the phone.
E-mail a picture of it to us.
Or just come in and show it to the doctor.
IF THERE IS ANY RISK OF MALIGNANCY YOU WILL BE
REFERRED FOR A WIDE EXCISION AT YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL.
Will it hurt?
Only the local anaesthetic will hurt when it
is being put in. After that the procedure is
pain free.
How long does it
take?
This depends on the condition being treated.
Typically a lesion being frozen or removed by
electrocautery will take 10-15 minutes.
Anything needing excision and stitches afterwards
will be up to half an hour.
How much
does it cost?
£45.00 - 80.00 depending on treatment.
